Karin Morita /

Creates works of art through her own original experiences of “nature” and “food”.
The meal was a sacred ritual “Shinto ritual” in ancient times. In the past, people felt spirituality and expressed gratitude and awe at the everyday act of taking another life and sustaining one’s own life, where life and death existed at the same time. However, in today’s society, where mass production and mass consumption have taken root and food is readily available, the essential meaning of food has completely faded away, and at the same time, people seem to have lost a sense of their own lives.
Through her work, she aims to redefine the essence of life and encourage people to engage in a dialogue with themselves.
